The Global Events Observer (GEO) responds to natural catastrophes and man-made events globally. Events are denoted by icons representing peril type such as Flood, Storm, Freeze, Fire, Volcano, Earthquake, Riot, Industrial Accidents.

Events can be accessed using the Events tab, searching for an event on the main dashboard or, simply by clicking on an icon on the map interface.

If the event is deemed to be significant in terms of potential damage, MIS will respond with the creation of a report. Events with an associated report are illustrated by a filled severity indicator.
