EverReady FAQ

Common questions about how EverReady works, what triggers an alert, and how to get help.

Is EverReady fully automated?

The detection and matching against your portfolio is automated, but every alert is checked by an MIS analyst before it reaches you. We don't send anything to clients without human review.

When will I receive alerts?

EverReady assesses the past day of activity and sends your alerts the next morning.

Does EverReady predict events before they happen?

No. EverReady is based on real, observed conditions, not forecasts. It tells you about something that has actually happened, not something that might happen in future.

Why didn't we get alerted about an event I heard about elsewhere?

Not every event that makes the news will meet the threshold for your specific portfolio. EverReady is built around your locations and policies, so an event with no meaningful overlap with your portfolio won't trigger an alert. Alerts also arrive the morning after, so a very recent event may not have been assessed yet. If you think something should have been flagged, let your MIS contact know. This is exactly the kind of feedback that helps us tune thresholds.

Can we set our own alert thresholds?

MIS sets sensible baseline thresholds to start, based on experience across clients. Over time, we work with you to adjust these to fit your portfolio and risk appetite.

What perils does EverReady cover?

Peak wind speed, earthquakes, rainfall, hail, tornadoes, and wildfires. See "What is EverReady?" for the example conditions that can trigger an alert for each one.

Is EverReady only for the US?

Most perils currently cover the US. Earthquakes are monitored globally, and hail is also covered in Australia. Expansion to other regions is on our roadmap.

What happens after I get an alert?

Review the alert to see which of your locations and policies may be affected. You can download the affected locations, policies, a map image, and shapefiles straight from the alert to use in your own applications.

Who do I contact if I have questions about an alert?

Reach out to your MIS account contact, or get in touch through [support channel — insert live contact method].
