Understanding Your EverReady Alerts

What's in an EverReady alert, how it's delivered, and what to do when you get one.

When an event from the previous day meets the threshold for your portfolio, you'll receive an EverReady alert the next morning. Here's what's in it and what to do with it.

What's in an alert

Every alert includes:

  • The peril: what kind of event it is (e.g. hail, wildfire, earthquake)

  • Why it triggered: the conditions that crossed the threshold for your book

  • Location and policy count: how many of your locations and policies are potentially affected

  • Downloads: the affected locations, a map image, and shapefiles, all available straight from the alert for use in your own applications

This is an early signal, not a final damage assessment. Think of it as "here's where to look first," not "here's what happened."

When you'll hear from us

EverReady reviews the past day of activity and sends your alerts the next morning, so your team can start the day knowing which events from the previous day to look at first.

What to do when you get one

  1. Read the alert to understand the peril, location, and why it was flagged.

  2. Check the location and policy count to see how much of your portfolio may be affected.

  3. Download the affected locations, policies, map image, or shapefiles straight from the alert if you want to use them in your own applications.

You don't need to do anything with an alert beyond reviewing it and deciding whether your team needs to act. EverReady is designed to shorten the time between "something happened" and "we know what it means for us," not to add another task to your list.
