Quickviews are preset layer combinations that let you switch the map to a specific view in one click. Instead of manually turning layers on and off, you select a Quickview and GEO loads the right layers, zoom level, and bounding box for that stage of the response.

MIS-curated Quickviews
For every event, MIS creates a set of Quickviews that reflect the main stages of the response. Typical Quickviews include:
Quickview | What it shows |
Intelligence Picture | The combined Exposure, Claims, and Building assessments — MIS's recommended starting view |
Pre-Event (Wind, Flood) | Wind Speed Probability, Predicted Path, Potential Storm Surge (hurricanes only, before landfall) — see [Pre-Event Layers & Outlook] |
Exposure | The Exposure Layer only |
Claims | The Claims Layer only |
Imagery | Pre and post-event imagery for comparison |
Operational |
|
Not all Quickviews are available for every event — they appear as the response progresses and new layers are published.
Selecting a Quickview
The Quickviews dropdown appears at the top of every event report. Click it to see the options available for that event, then click any Quickview to load it. Use the arrow buttons on either side of the dropdown to step through Quickviews in order.

Creating your own Quickviews
You can save your own layer combinations as custom Quickviews. This is useful if you have a specific set of layers you return to regularly — for example, Claims plus Imagery plus your own uploaded data.
Open an event report.
Toggle on the layers you want to include using the Layers panel.
Click Save View in the Layers panel.
Give your Quickview a name and click Save.
Your custom Quickview now appears in the Quickviews dropdown for that event.
Important: Custom Quickviews are stored locally in your browser. They are not saved to your GEO account, and they will not be visible to other users or on other devices. If you clear your browser data, your custom Quickviews will be lost.

FAQ
My custom Quickview has disappeared. What happened?
Custom Quickviews are stored in your browser, not on the GEO server. Clearing browser data, switching browsers, or using a different device will remove them. Re-create the view and save it again on each browser you use.
Can I share a custom Quickview with a colleague?
Not directly. Custom Quickviews are browser-local. To share a specific layer combination, tell your colleague which layers to enable and they can save it as their own Quickview.
The Intelligence Picture Quickview isn't showing. Why?
The Intelligence Picture becomes available once MIS has published a Claims Layer. If only the Exposure Layer exists so far, the Intelligence Picture Quickview won't appear yet.
